The three hundred and sixty-fifth volume of the Archives of Maryland series is Searching for Ancestors Who Were Slaves: An Index to the Freedom Records of Prince George's County Maryland, 1808-1869, by Louise Joyner Hienton.

This volume, a searchable electronic version of Index 38, contains approximately 18,200 entries. Entries provide name of owner; name, age, and complexion of free blacks; how freed; date; and citation. Slaves statistics also give military service and election district.
