The three-hundred and forty-fourth volume of the Archives of Maryland series was originally published in 1980. The Archives of Maryland edition was published in 2001 by the Maryland State Archives.

The Annual Report contains the financial statements of the State of Maryland for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1980. The supplemental volume contains selected detailed financial data which is presented on the budgetary basis of accounting

Funding for including the Annual Reports of the Comptroller in the Archives of Maryland has been provided by the office of the Comptroller as part of the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the office.
