WILLIAM PRESTON LANE, JR.,
Governor of Maryland

In compliance with the provisions of Section 9 of Article 19 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, I submit herewith my report for
the fiscal year ended June 30,1949. I believe the data covered in the
various statements which follow will be found to contain full and
interesting information regarding the fiscal affairs of the State.
