THOMAS W. VEAZEY, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR,

1835.

Cecil county, deceased, nor in any manner to bastardise

CHAP, 90

the said John Edward Ferguson.

 

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Henrietta

Right to estate, &c

M. Ferguson shall be entitled to receive and to hold all

 

the property, real and personal, that has descended or

 

may descend to her as one of the heirs at law of Ben-

 

jamin Porter, late of Cecil county, deceased, in the

 

same manner, and to the same extent, as if she had

 

never been married to the said William Ferguson, or

 

been a feme sole at the time of the death of the said

 

Benjamin Porter.

 

CHAPTER 89.

 

A supplement to the act, entitled, an act to incorporate the

Passed Feb,18, 1836

Commercial Exchange Company of Baltimore.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

Use may be ex-tended

That in addition to the powers heretofore invested in

 

the said Commercial Exchange Company of Baltimore,

 

that such company he authorised to erect, or vise their

 

property already erected, or any part thereof, for a

 

Hotel or Public Tavern, or any other purpose not con-

 

trary to law.

 

CHAPTER 90.

 

An act for the benefit of Noah Fairbanks.

Passed Feb. 18,1838

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

Insolvent laws ex-tended to

That the Commissioners of Insolvent Debtors for the

 

city and county of Baltimore, be and they are hereby

 

authorised and empowered to grant to Noah Fairbanks,

 

now in the city of Baltimore, the benefit of the several

 

acts of Assembly, passed for the relief of Insolvent

 

Debtors; Provided, the said Noah Fairbanks shall, in

 

all respects, (except that of proving residence, ) comply

 

with the requisitions of said acts of Assembly, and

 

that he satisfy said Commissioners that he did not

 

come into this State with a view of obtaining the bene-

 

fit of said insolvent laws.
