Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
|

the Armorer at Annapolis, be, and he is required to
|
 
|
deliver to Captain Edmund Menard, of the Rifle
|
 
|
Corps of Mount Saint Mary's College, Frederick
|
 
|
county, any rifles and accoutrements not exceeding
|
 
|
fifty, which the said Armorer may select, the Pre-
|
 
|
sident of Mount Saint Mary's College giving bond and
|
 
|
security for the safe keeping and return of the same,
|
 
|
to the State, as the Governor and Council may re-
|
 
|
quire.

Canal.
|

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
|
 
|
the Governor and Council, be and they are' hereby au-
|
 
|
thorised to settle and adjust all accounts for expenses
|
 
|
to be incurred in surveying the route of the Annapolis
|
 
|
and Potomac Canal, by the Engineers of the United
|
 
|
States, appointed at the instance and request of this
|
 
|
State, and that the same be paid on the order of the
|
 
|
Governor and Council out of any unappropriated mo-
|
 
|
ney in the Treasury.
