RESOLUTIONS.

addition to his present salary, the sum of two hundred dollars, in quarterly payments, out of any money in the treasury, not otherwise appropriated.

Resolution directing the Armorer to deliver to Captain

 

Edmund . Menard, certain arms.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

 

the Armorer at Annapolis, be, and he is required to

 

deliver to Captain Edmund Menard, of the Rifle

 

Corps of Mount Saint Mary's College, Frederick

 

county, any rifles and accoutrements not exceeding

 

fifty, which the said Armorer may select, the Pre-

 

sident of Mount Saint Mary's College giving bond and

 

security for the safe keeping and return of the same,

 

to the State, as the Governor and Council may re-

 

quire.

Passed March 24

Resolution relative to the Annapolis and Potomac

 

Canal.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

 

the Governor and Council, be and they are' hereby au-

 

thorised to settle and adjust all accounts for expenses

 

to be incurred in surveying the route of the Annapolis

 

and Potomac Canal, by the Engineers of the United

 

States, appointed at the instance and request of this

 

State, and that the same be paid on the order of the

 

Governor and Council out of any unappropriated mo-

 

ney in the Treasury.
