persons appointed by the said act, and this supplement;

and as soon as twenty-five hundred shares of the capi-

tal stock shall have been subscribed, the same shall be

deemed sufficient to authorise the organization of the

said company, and the commissioners, or any one of

directors, and otherwise, as required by the fifth sec-

|
tion of -the said act; and the said directors shall

have power to elect a president; and the said president

and directors, after they shall have been duly elected

and qualified as such, shall be authorised to cause
|
 
|
hooks to be opened for such additional subscriptions as
|
 
|
may be necessary to carry into effect the objects of the
|
 
|
said act.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said company
|

all goods, produce, merchandise or property, other

than persons, not exceeding four cents per ton per

mile.

|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That so much of the ori-

sistent with the provisions of this act, be, and the
|
 
|
same are hereby repealed.
