CHAPTER 361.

 
 

CHAP. 362

An act to give effect within the State of Maryland, to

Passed June 2, 1836

the Will of the late George Chapman, of the State of

 

Virginia.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

Will made valid

that the will of George Chapman, late of Prince Wil-

 

liam county, in the State of Virginia, deceased, hear-

 

ing date the first day of June, one thousand eight hun-

 

dred and twenty-seven, and admitted to probate in the

 

State of Virginia, at a court of quarter sessions, held

 

for Prince William county in said state, on the second

 

day of November, eighteen hundred and twenty-nine,

 

and the devise in said will contained, to Pearson Chap-

 

man, eldest son of the said George Chapman, of lands

 

in the State of Maryland, shall he deemed, taken and

 

held to be to all intents and purposes, as valid and ef-

 

fectual to pass on estate in fee in the lands so devised

 

to the said Pearson Chapman, as against all persons

 

who have taken estates in Virginia, under and by vir-

 

tue of said will, and against all persons claiming or to

 

claim by, from or under them, or any of them, as if

 

the said will had been signed, scaled, published and

 

declared in the presence of three competent and disin-

 

terested witnesses.

 

CHAPTER 362.

 

A supplement to the act, entitled, an act to declare and

ascertain the right of citizens of this State to private

 

roads or ways.

 

Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Maryland,
