CHAPTER 56.

CHAP. 56.

An act to authorise the Mayor and City Council of Bal-

Passed Feb. 12,1836

timore, to condemn and make public a certain Alley

 

therein named, near Baltimore street, between. Eutaw

 

and Paca streets.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Authority to condemn, &c.

Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of Bal-

 

timore be, and they are hereby authorised, by ordi-

 

nance, to condemn and make public in such manner,

 

and designate by such name, as they may deem proper,

 

a certain Alley about twenty feet in width, in the city

 

of Baltimore, running westwardly from Eutaw to Pacs

 

street, parallel with Baltimore street, and about sixty

 

five feet south thereof, between Baltimore and German

 

streets, on application of a majority of the property

 

holders binding on said Alley.

 

SEC. 2. And beii enacted, That the said Alley to be

Subject to opera-tion of laws, &c

condemned and made public as aforesaid, shall be and

 

is hereby made subject, from time to time, when go

 

condemned and made public by ordinance, to the ope-

 

ration of the laws and ordinances relating to public

 

streets, lanes and alleys, in the city of Baltimore.

 

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Mayor and City

Public notice

Council of Baltimore, before they finally pass upon

required

any ordinance authorised by this act, shall first cause

 

an advertisement to be published for one week in the

 

daily papers of the city of Baltimore, (the expense of

 

said advertisement to be paid by the party or parties

 

applying for the passage of said ordinance,) setting

 

forth the said Alley and its location, and notifying all

 

persons interested, to make their objections, if any

 

they have, to the passage of said ordinance, on or be-

 

fore some day to be fixed by the said Mayor and City
