An act to locate a Public Landing at or near the head of
|
 
|
the tide waters of the Great Falls of Gunpowder, in
|
 
|
Baltimore county.
|
Preamble
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
|
 
|
bly by the petition of sundry taxable, inhabitants of
|
 
|
Baltimore county, that a Public Landing at or near
|
 
|
the head of the tide waters of the Great Falls of Gun-
|
 
|
powder, in Baltimore county, would he of great con-
|
 
|
venience to the people of the vicinity, — Therefore:
|
Appointment of
|
SECTION 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
commissioners to locate
|
Maryland, That the commissioners of Baltimore county,
|
 
|
be and they are hereby authorised to appoint three per-
|
 
|
sons as commissioners, whose duty it shall bo to locate a
|
 
|
public landing at or near the head of the tide waters of the
|
 
|
great falls of Gunpowder in Baltimore county, as in
|
 
|
their judgment will be most eligible for the purposes of
|
 
|
said landing.

Purchase lot
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said commis-
|
 
|
sioners appointed by the commissioners of Baltimore
|
 
|
county, be authorised to purchase any lot of ground
|
Appropriated
|
which they may select for said public landing, and up-
|
 
|
on such purchase the said lot of ground shall be forever
|
Limit of quality
|
considered, and used as a public landing ; provided said
|
 
|
lot of ground does not exceed one acre, or ddes not
|
 
|
amount to a sum of money over one hundred dollars.

Condemnation
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That if said commis-
|
 
|
sioners cannot purchase said lot of ground, at or under
