the benefit of the several acts of Assembly, passed for the relief of insolvent debtors, provided the said Henry Eberhart shall in all respects, except that of proving residence, comply with the requisitions of said acts of Assembly, and that he satisfy the said commissioners that he did not come into this State with the view of obtaining the benefit of said insolvent laws; provided also, that the said Henry Eberhart be compelled to file his petition for the benefit of the said insolvent laws, previous to his discharge from custody.

An act to make valid the instrument of writing therein

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
Deed confirmed
|
Maryland, That the instrument of writing or deed of
|
 
|
bargain and sale, from Meridith Helm and Elizabeth
|
 
|
his wife, of Washington county, in the State of Mary-
|
 
|
land, Joseph Helm and Mary Ellen his wife, Mary
|
 
|
Yoc, Richard Osbourn and Margaret his wife, and
|
 
|
Thomas Mustin and Sophia his wife, of the District of
|
 
|
Columbia, to Joseph Emmert, of Washington county,
|
 
|
in the State of Maryland, bearing date the thirteenth
|
 
|
day of March, in the year of our Lord, one thousand
|
 
|
eight hundred and thirty-five, be and the same is here-
|
 
|
by declared to be as valid and effectual in law, to all
|
 
|
intents and purposes, as if the said instrument of writ-
|
 
|
ing or deed of bargain and sale had been acknowledg-
|
 
|
ed and executed according to law.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act
|

contained shall be so construed as to impair or effect
|
 
|
any lien, on the premises intended to be conveyed, or to
|
 
|
defeat any mesne conveyance of said premises without
|
 
|
notice of said instrument of writing.
