1835.

Maryland, in such sum as the commanding officer of

the division shall require for the faithful performance

 

of his duties as paymaster, that is to say, for the safe

 

keeping cf all monies paid into his hands by the collec-

 

tor, and for the keeping and returning a true and just

 

account of the same to the commanding officer of the

 

division, when thereunto required, also for the paying

 

over the whole or such parts of said monies as may he

 

drawn for by him for repairs of arms, expenses of

 

music and other incidental expenses also, for the pay-

 

ing over any surplus or balance in his hands, when

 

thereunto required by the commanding officers of the

 

said two divisions, acting as a board as hereinafter

 

provided for, and the said paymaster shall be allowed
