SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the second light bri-

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That previous to the ap-

ficers attached to that division, in the manner directed

in the case of the recommendation of a brigadier gen-

eral, in the seventh section of the act of eighteen hun-

dred and twenty five, chapter fifty-six, the oldest com-
|
 
|
manding officer in rank in said division, to give the no-
|
 
|
tice for the meeting of said officers for that purpose, and
|

before any brigadier general of said second light bri-

gade or any division staff officer of the first light di-
|
 
|
vision or any brigade staff officer of the second light
|
 
|
brigade, or any officer of the fifty third regiment of
|
 
|
volunteer infantry, shall be commissioned each and
|
 
|
every of said officers, shall be recommended to the
|
 
|
consideration of the Governor and Council, in the
|
 
|
manner directed in the aforesaid seventh section of the
|
 
|
act of eighteen hundred and twenty five, chapter fifty
|
 
|
six, for the recommendation of officers of the several
|
 
|
grades therein mentioned.

|
SEC. 6. And be it enacted. That whenever three com-
|

mended to their consideration as aforesaid, and when
