CHAP. 295

SEC. 7. And be if enacted, That said first light divi-

privileges, secured to uniformed volunteer corps, by

 

the act of eighteen hundred and twenty three, chapter

 

one hundred and eighty eight, or by any supplement

 

thereto.

As to parades

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That in lieu of the parades

 

directed by the said act of eighteen hundred and twenty-

 

three, chapter one hundred and eighty-eight, or by any

 

supplement thereto, the militia of the city of Baltimore

 

shall in each and every year hereafter parade for ex-

 

ercise, discipline and inspection, as follows: — The

First light brigade

first light division on the first Monday in May, the

 

first Monday in June, the twelfth day of September,

Artillery brigade

and the second Monday in October; The artillery

 

brigade on the first Tuesday in May, the first Tuesday

 

in June, the twelfth day of September, and the second

Third brigade

Tuesday in October; the third brigade on the first

 

Wednesday in May, the first Wednesday in June, the

 

twelfth day of September, and the first Wednesday in

Fourteenth brigade

October; the fourteenth brigade on the first Thursday

 

in May, the first Thursday in June, the twelfth day of

 

September, and the first Thursday in October; and the

company parades

said parades in May shall be company parades; the

Regiment parades

parades in June shall be regimental parades, for in-

spection; and the parades in October shall be brigade

 

parades, and shall take place at one o'clock, P. M.

Division parades

and the parades on the twelfth day of September shall

 

be division parades, and shall take place at eight

Power to postpone

o'clock, A. M.; and the commanding officer of the first

 

light division shall have power to postpone any of the

 

four parades directed for said division; the command-

 

ing officer of the third division shall have power to

 

postpone the parade of that division for the twelfth of

 

September; and the commanding officer of brigades in

 

the third division, shall have power to postpone the

 

parades of May, June and October, agreeably to the

 

thirteenth section of the act of eighteen hundred and

 

twenty-three, chapter one hundred and eighty-eight.
