scribe for the capital stock aforesaid, their associates

to be a, body corporate, by the namec of the Baltimore

and Peach Bottom Rail Road Company, and as such,

by that name shall be enable in law of purchasing,
|

holding, selling and conveying estates, real, personal
|

and mixed, so far as shall be necessary for the purpo-
|
 
|
ses in this act mentioned, and shall have perpetual suc-
|
 
|
cession, and by said corporate name may sue and be
|
 
|
sued, and have and use a common seal, which they
|
 
|
may alter and renew at their pleasure, and shall have
|
 
|
and may use, enjoy and exercise all and singular the
|
 
|
powers, rights, privileges, authorities, immunities and
|
 
|
advantages for the surveying, locating and construct-
|

ing a rail road, which shall be commenced at some

convenient point on the Baltimore and Susquehanna
|
 
|
Bail Road, and run thence to the State line in a direc-

tion towards each Bottom Ferry, on the Susquehan-

na river, and from the said line, when authority shall
|
 
|
have been given by the State of Pennsylvania, to inter-
|
 
|
sect the Philadelphia and Columbia Bail Boad at some
|
 
|
eligible point thereof, and for the using, repairing and
|
 
|
controling the said rail road, its necessary vehicles,
|
 
|
works or buildings and every part thereof, and for the
|
 
|
election of its President and Directors; and the mode

of transfering shares of its capital stock, which are

estate

hereby made and declared to be personal estate, and
|
 
|
the charging and collecting tolls on transportation,

the procuring and employing vehicles and necessary

the declaring and paying dividends, increasing the

capital stock or borrowing money on the credit of the

company for its lawful purposes, employing officers,

passing by-laws and holding annual and special meet-

ings, and generally for the beneficial management of

Rail Road Company, and its several supplements, are
