CHAP. 24.

requirements of said corporation, heretofore mentioned and set forth, to appoint an arbitrator upon their part

 

to act in conjunction with the arbitrator of said cor-

 

poration for the aforesaid purpose, or shall neglect

 

for said space of time to inform said mayor of their

 

having appointed their arbitrator, as by this act they

 

are required to do, then and in that case the said cor-

poration shall appoint an arbitrator to act in conjunc-

 

tion with the one, previously appointed by them, for

 

the purpose of ascertaining the original cost of said

 

bridge, and said arbitrators shall have and exercise

 

all the powers conferred by this act upon the arbitra-

 

tors which might have been chosen by the corporation,

 

aforesaid, and the said William Krebs, Richard and

Provisoes

William Linthicum, under this act; provided always,

 

that no infant heir of the said William Krebs, Richard

 

and William Linthicum shall he bound by any award

 

of arbitrators, unless upon petition by the said corpo-

 

ration, the High Court of Chancery of Maryland shall

 

he requested to appoint and shall appoint, on behalf of

 

the said infant, an arbitrator to act for said infant,

 

which arbitrator shall be invested with the same pow-

 

er as if chosen in their life time by the said William

 

Krebs, Richard and William Linthicum themselves.

Penalty for firing

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That all persons are

on the bridge

hereby prohibited from discharging any fire arms what-

 

ever on the said bridge, under a penalty of five dollars

 

for every such offence, to be recovered by warrant

 

before a justice of the peace for Baltimore city or

 

county.

Penalty for charg-

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That in case the said

ing extra toll

William Krebs, Richard or William Linthicum, their

 

heirs, executors or assigns shall charge and receive

 

greater tolls for the passage of said bridge than the

 

toll authorised by this law, for every such offence they

 

shall be subject to a fine of ten dollars, to be recover-

 

ed before any justice of the peace in Baltimore city or

 

county, one half to be paid to the informer and the

 

other half to the Treasurer of the Western Shore.
