SEC. 12. And, be it enacted, That when the aforesaid

WHEREAS, it has been represented to this General :
|

Assembly, by the petition of sundry citizens of Wash-
|
 
|
ington county, that certain improvements ought to be
|
 
|
made in the Court-room or hall, in the Court House:
|
 
|
in Hager's Town, where the County Courts are held,
|
 
|
Therefore,
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of
|

Maryland, That the Commissioners for Washington
|
thorised
|
county, be and they are hereby authorised, provided
|
 
|
they deem it expedient, to cause such improvements and
|
 
|
alterations to be made in the hall or court-room, in the
|
 
|
Court House, in Hager's Town, in said county, as they
|
 
|
in their judgment may deem necessary for the greater
|
 
|
ease and convenience of the court in the transacting of
|
 
|
the county business.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said commis-
|

sioners be and they are hereby authorised to levy on
|
 
|
the assessable property in said county, such sum or
|
 
|
sums of money as may be necessary to defray the ex-
|
 
|
pense of the said improvements and alterations in the
|
 
|
said Court House as hereinbefore provided.
