CHAP. 226.

fore,

Old division line restored .

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

 

That the division lines between the election districts

 

numbers one and six, in Washington county, shall be

 

reinstated to the old lines, between said districts, as

 

they existed prior to the passage of the acts of eighteen

 

hundred and thirty-two, chapter ninety-two, and the

 

act confirming the same, passed at December session,

 

eighteen hundred and thirty-three, chapter thirty.

 

CHAPTER 226.

Passed Mar.28,1838

An act for the relief of the Heirs of Jane White, late of

 

the City of Baltimore.

Commissioners to estimate damages

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That Alexander Fridge, Ashton Alexander

 

and Charles Howard, be, and they are hereby appoint-

 

ed commissioners, with authority under oath, to ex-

 

amine, enquire into, estimate and make return to the

 

Treasurer of the Western Shore, of the value of the

 

amount of injury done to the property belonging to

 

[James] White, late of the city of Baltimore, injured or

 

destroyed by a mob in the city of Baltimore, on or about

 

the twenty-seventh day of July, eighteen hundred and

 

twelve; provided, the same be established on oath, and

 

also to ascertain whether any, and what part of the

loss and injury sustained as aforesaid, has been reco-

 

vered and made good to the said Jane White, or her

 

legal representatives, by or from the occupant of her

 

said property, or by its assailants, or by any of them.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the du-

gal representatives of the said Jane White, certificates

 

of stock of the State of Maryland, bearing interest af-

 

ter the rate of five per cent, and redeemable at the

 

pleasure of the State, for the amount which shall be so
