CHAP 24

or dispose of said bridge or right of landing to any

person or persons, body corporate or politic, who are

confirmed

hereby authorised to purchase and hold the same, with

 

all the privileges and appendages to the same belong-

 

ing, and the purchaser or purchasers thereof and their

 

heirs, successors or assigns shall be, and are hereby

 

authorised and empowered to erect, build and keep in

 

repair the said bridge, and ask, demand and receive

 

the like tolls as aforesaid for the passage of said bridge,

 

and in the same manner as if they were severally named

 

herein, and as fully and effectually as if they were the

 

present proprietors thereof.

Right reserved to Baltimore city,

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That at any time here-

after it shall and may be lawful for the Mayor and

 

City Council of Baltimore city, upon complying with

 

the conditions hereinafter specified, to assume by re-

 

solution or otherwise, the charge of keeping the said

 

bridge in repair, without charging any tolls for cros-

 

sing the same, and the legal title thereof shall vest in

 

the said Mayor and City Council, upon the payment

 

or tender of the money which it may be ascertained in

 

the manner herein after pointed out; the said William

 

Krebs, Richard Linthicum and William Linthicum,

 

their heirs, executors, administrators or assigns, shall

 

be entitled to receive from said corporation.
