An act relating to Constables Fees.
|

Mileage allowed
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
 
|
That from and after the passage of this act, all con-
|
|
 
|
stables shall be entitled to receive, in addition to the
|
|
 
|
fifty cents now allowed, five cents per mile for every
|
|
After five miles
|
mile they may have to travel after the first five miles,
|
|
 
|
in delivering over to the jailor of their respective.
|
|
 
|
counties, any person or persons who may he committed
|
|
 
|
for criminal offences.
|
|

sion eighteen hundred and thirty four, chapter two

hundred and fifty one, and supplementary thereto.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of
|
|
repealed
|
Maryland, That the fifty third section of an act of
|
|
 
|
the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at Decem-
|
|
 
|
ber session eighteen hundred and thirty four, chapter
|
|
 
|
two hundred and fifty one, entitled an act to enrol,
|
|
 
|
organize, equip and regulate the Militia of this State,
|
|
 
|
be, and the same is hereby repealed.
|
|
Uniform prescrib-
|
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That the uniform for general
|
|
ed
|
officers, their aids de camp, and brigade inspectors,
|
|
 
|
field company and staff officers of the Militia of this
|
|
 
|
State, shall be the same with the uniform of the offi-
|
|
 
|
cers of the same grade in the corresponding arms of
|
|
 
|
the United States army excepting that the letters M.
|
|
 
|
M. shall he used wherever the letters U. S. are used
|
|
 
|
by the officers of the United States army, and in as
|
|
 
|
much as there is no rifle arm belonging to the said United
|
|
 
|
States army, to afford a pattern uniform for that arm,
|
|
 
|
the majority of the officers of each rifle regiment of
|
|
 
|
the Militia of the State, may select and establish the
|
|
 
|
uniform to be worn by the field company and staff of
|
|
 
|
ficers of such regiment.
