CHAPTER 193.

 
 

CHAP. 194

A supplement to an act, entitled, an act to Incorporate

Passed Mar,24,1838

the Town of Boonsborough and the several additions

 

thereto.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Boundaries enlarg-

Maryland, That the bounds of the Town of Boons-

ed

borough, he and the same are hereby extended so as to

 

embrace the space of one half a mile square, the centre

 

of which shall be the centre of what is now commonly

 

known and called, in said town, as the Square, and

 

whose lines shall be parallel to the lines of the said

 

square.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That every white male

Duty of residents

citizen between the age of twenty-one and sixty years,

 

now an inhabitant, of said town or who may hereafter

 

become an inhabitant, shall by virtue of his residence

 

in said town, be and is hereby constituted a member of

 

the Boonsborough Fire Company, and as such shall

 

be entitled to the same privilege, and be subject to the

 

same rules, regulations and penalties as the present

 

members now are by law.

 

CHAPTER 194.

 

An act to authorise Thomas Hayward to bring certain

Passed Mar.25,1836

negroes into this State.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, ,

Permission granted

That it shall and may be lawful, from and after the

 

passage of this act, for Thomas Hayward to bring in-

 

to this State the following negroes, to wit: — negro

 

woman Airy, aged forty-five years, Louisa, aged

 

twenty-five years, and her infant boy child, negro Ra-

 

chel, twenty-six years of age, and her three children,

 

Arian, seven years of age, William, five years of age,

 

and Leah, eighteen months old, negro man Isaac,

 

twenty-two years of age, negro woman Leah, twenty-

 

three years of age, and her two children, Arietta, seven

 

years of age, and Ann, two and an half years of age,

 

negro man Edward, twenty-two years of age, all slaves
