ceeds thereof paid off all the debts of the said testator;

CHAP. 182.

Jlnd whereas, the mother of the said testator holding

 

dower in sad lands has since departed this life, as also

 

Peggy Hill one of the children and devisees of the said

 

testator; And whereas, the said William B. Hill is now

 

of full age, and the widow of the said testator is will-

 

ing to take an annual allowance in lieu of her dower

 

in said lands; And whereas, it is represented to this

 

General Assembly by the petition of the widow and

 

children of the said testator, that it will be greatly

 

advantageous to all parties concerned, that a division

 

of said real estate should take place at once: There-

 

fore —

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Commissioners named

Maryland, That John Contee, Charles Hill, Samuel

 

Sprigg, William D. Bowie, and William Wells, (of

 

George, ) of Prince Georges county, be and they are

 

hereby appointed commissioners with full power and

 

authority to lay off to Will B. Hill, the eldest son and

To lay off the portion

devisee of William Hill, late of Prince George's coun-

 

ty, deceased, his portion of the real estate of the said

 

William Hill, adjoining to the dwelling house and lands

 

attached thereto, which were specifically devised to

 

him by the said William Hill, and the said commission-

 

ers or a majority of them be, and they are hereby au-

 

thorised and empowered to lay off the residue of the

 

real estate of the said William Hill, equally between

 

the other children and devisee of the said William Hill,

 

who shall severally as they respectively arrive at the

 

age of twenty-one years, be authorised and empower-

 

ed to elect one of said allotments, which shall thereaf-

 

ter be held by such child or devisee in security.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the said commis-

authorised and empowered after dividing the real es-

 

tate of the said William Hill, according to the provi-

 

sions of the preceding section of this act, to estimate

 

and determine what sum or sums of money shall be an-

 

nually paid by each of the children or devisees afore-

 

said, to Ann S. Hill, the widow of the said William
