CHAPTER 19.

CHAP. 20.

An Act to authorise the Clerk of Kent county, to record

Passed Jan. 29, 1836

a deed therein mentioned.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

Authorised to record— made valid

That the Clerk of Kent county, be and he is hereby

 

authorised to record a deed of manumission, from

 

Sophia Beck, of said county, to Negro Ezekiel, other-

 

wise called Ezekiel Form an, therein named, and that

 

the said deed when so recorded, to have the same force

 

and effect as if it had been regularly recorded in the

 

the time required by the act of Assembly, passed at

 

November session seventeen hundred and ninety six,

 

chapter sixty seven, any law to the contrary notwith-

 

standing, .provided nothing in this act shall effect bona

 

fide purchasers.

 

CHAPTER 20.

 

An Act to authorise the Commissioners of Washington

Passed Jan. 25,1836

county, to appoint Commissioners to review a certain

 

road in said county, and, for other purposes.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Commissioners to review, and ascer-

three disinterested persons, citizens of said county, as

 

commissioners to review the road heretofore laid out

 

and opened from John Doub's Mill to intersect the

 

Turnpike Road at Benjamin Emmerts, or so much

 

thereof as passes through the lands of Peter Newcom-

 

er, to ascertain what additional damages if any, the

 

said Newcomer may be entitled to, and to report the

 

result of their investigation to the commissioners of

 

the county for their approval.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the county commis-
