CHAP. 16.

An. act, further to continue an act, passed at November

Passed Jan, 22, 1836

session, seventeen hundred and ninety-five, entitled,

 

an act to incorporate an Insurance Company in Bal-

 

timore town.

 

WHEREAS, the Baltimore Insurance Company have

Preamble

by their petition prayed that the act by which they

 

were incorporated, entitled, an act to incorporate an

 

Insurance Company in Baltimore town, which by its

 

own limitation and that of the continuing acts of eigh-

 

teen hundred and four, and eighteen hundred and nine-

 

teen, would, with its several supplements, expire at the

 

end of the next General Assembly after the first day of

 

February, eighteen hundred and thirty-seven, may be

 

further continued:

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

Acts continued in

force

That the said act, entitled, an act to incorporate an

 

Insurance Company in Baltimore town, and each and

 

every supplement thereto, and all acts or parts of acts

 

repealing any parts of said act of incorporation, or

 

otherwise changing or modifying the same, be and the

 

same are hereby continued and shall remain in full

 

force until the first day of February, eighteen hundred

 

and fifty-five, and the end of the next General Assem-

 

bly of Maryland, thereafter.

 

CHAPTER 16.

 
   

An act for the relief of the old citizens of Frederick town

Passed Jan. 25, 1836

in Frederick county.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

Relief extended

That all and every citizen or resident of, or in Frede-

 

rick city in Frederick county, who are, or shall be of

 

the age of seventy years, shall be, and they are exempt

 

from all and every duty in relation to fire, company

 

meetings and fires; and shall not be required by the

 

corporate authorities of Frederick city, or the fire

 

companies thereof, to attend any such meetings, or to
