CHAPTER 146.

CHAP. 146.

An act to authorise the laying out and opening of a Road,

Passed Mar. 12,1836

in Cecil County, therein mentioned.

 

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-

bly by the petition of sundry inhabitants of Cecil coun-

 

ty, that they labour under great inconvenience for

 

want of a road commencing at the Pennsylvania line,

 

and running thence in a southerly direction near the

 

late residence of William Brown, crossing the road

 

leading from the Rising Sun to the brick meeting house,

 

and running through the land of the late Samuel

 

Brown, J. L. Maxwell, and others, to intersect the

 

road leading from the brick meeting house to Port

 

Deposit, near Brickley's cross roads:— Therefore,

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Commissioners to ascertain, and re-

bable cost and expence of laying out, opening and

 

clearing the road aforesaid, and report the same to the

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That when the commis-

cheapest terms they can, to lay out, open and clear

 

said road, and shall take the contractor or contractors,

 

bond or bonds, with good and sufficient security or

and proper, for the faithful performance thereof; Pro-
