CHAP. 61.

or by purchasing the land necessary and erecting stables
thereon; and may also employ for said company, all such
agents, drivers or servants, as they may deem necessary or
proper, and that the said president and directors, or a ma-
jority of them, may make on behalf of said company, all
§uch other contracts connected with the transaction of its
business as they may deem necessary or proper.

Limit

Sec. 14. And be it enacted, That this act shall continue
in force until the year eighteen hundred and forty-two, and
until the end of the next succeeding session of the General
Assembly.

 

CHAPTER 60.

Passed Feb. 17. 1832

A supplement to the act entitled, An act to regulate the man-
ner of obtaining and altering public roads in Baltimore
county, passed at December session eighteen hundred and
twenty five, chapter two hundred and nineteen.

Tune extended.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the period of six months prescribed in the
twelfth section of the act to which this is a supplement, for
the opening and clearing roads, as therein mentioned, be,
and the same is hereby extended to twelve months.

To operate.

Sec. 2 And be it enacted, That the period of twelve
months as above provided, shall be allowed in regard to
roads already designated to be opened, and as to roads com-
ing within the operation of the said original act.

Vacancies.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That in all cases where com-
missioners have been appointed or may hereafter be ap-
pointed, to open, straighten or amend any road and a va-
cancy shall, or may have occurred, by death, resignation,
or refusal to act, the commissioners of Baltimore county
shall fill such vacancy immediately thereafter.

 

CHAPTER 61.

Passed Feb. l7, 1833

An act to provide for the payment of Jurors in Baltimore
county, without the limits of the city, and for payment of
the Judges of the Orphan's court of Baltimore county.

Levy authorised to
pay Jurors.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland; That the commissioners of Baltimore county, be and
they are hereby authorised and required to levy on the as-
sessable property of said county, at the usual time of mak-
ing the county levy, in the year eighteen hundred and thir-
