RESOLUTIONS.

 

No. 121.

Passed Mar.14, 1832

Resolution relative to Militia.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the

 

Governor instruct the Adjutant General to give notice, in

 

such papers in this state, as he may think most likely to

 

convey general information to all officers, holding militia

 

commissions, to report themselves to his department, on or

 

before the first day of November next.

 

Resolved, Thai the Adjutant General strike trom his re-

 

cords the names of all such officers as do not report, ac-

 

cording to the above resolution, and report his proceedings

 

to the governor, on or before the meeting of the next Le-

 

gislature.

 

No. 122.

Passed Mar. 6, 1832

Resolution in favor of William C. Conine.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

 

the governor and council be, and they are hereby authoris-

 

ed to release a certain judgment obtained in Baltimore

 

county court, in May term, eighteen hundred and thirty one,

 

at the suit of the state of Maryland, against William C. Co-

 

nine, upon payment of costs of said judgment, Provided, the

 

lottery commissioners, or a majority of them, shall recom-

 

mend the release of said judgment; and upon the filing of

 

said release in Baltimore county court, and payment of costs

 

as aforesaid, the clerk of said court be, and he is hereby

 

authorised to enter said judgment satisfied.

 

No. 123.

Passed Mar. 6, 1832

Resolution relative to the establishment of a National Foun-

 

dry.

 

WHEREAS, it is the admonition of the father of his coun-

 

try, "that we should in peace, prepare for war," remember-

 

ing that timely disbursement to "prepare for danger, fre-

 

quently prevent much greater disbursements to repel it;"

 

And whereas, in his message to congress, he declared it ad-

 

visable to provide and lay up materials of war, in proportion
