RESOLUTIONS.

1831,

finally discharged from his obligation to pay as the surety of

 

Robert H. Scharf, any further sum of money, for, or on ac-

 

count of taxes, which the said Scharf collected, or should

 

have collected, for this State, or the city or county of Bal-

 

timore; Provided always, That the release hereby granted

 

to the said Davis, shall, in no wise affect, or be construed

 

to impair the obligation of the co-sureties of the said Davis,

 

or either of them, to pay a moiety of the penalty of the said

 

bonds, or either of said bonds; nor to release the said Scharf

 

from the payment of any part thereof; And provided, that

 

nothing herein contained shall be construed to release from

 

liability, for the claims aforesaid, under said bonds, any pro-

 

perty or estate that said Davis shall hereafter acquire, by

 

devise, descent, gift, or in a course of distribution.

Resolution in favor of Rhoda Wheatley.

Passed Mar.13,1832

Resolved by the General Assembly of Mainland, That

 

the treasurer of the western shore, pay to Rhoda Wheat-

 

ley, of Dorchester county, widow of William Wheatley,

 

a soldier of the revolutionary war, or to her order, during

 

widowhood, in half yearly payments, a sum of money equal

 

to the half pay of a private, in consideration of the ser-

 

vices rendered by her husband during said war.

Resolution in favor of Marsham Queen, of Charles county,

Passed Mar.13, 1832

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

 

the treasurer of the western shore, pay to Marsham Queen,

 

of Charles county, or to. his order, during life, in half yearly

 

payments, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a pri-

 

vate, in consideration of his services during the revolution
