RESOLUTIONS.

 

No. 102.

Passed Mar. 12, 1832

Resolution relative to paying for Newspapers.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the

 

treasurer of the western shore, pay to George G. Brewer,

 

chief clerk of the house of delegates, and Joseph H. Nich-

 

olson, chief clerk of the senate, out of any unappropriated

 

money in the treasury, the several amounts of such account

 

as may, from time to time, be presented to him by the said

 

clerks, for the newspapers they have furnished for the use

 

of the members of their respective houses, in accordance

 

with the orders adopted for that purpose by said houses.

 

No. 103.

Passed Mar. 12,1832

Resolution relative to postage chargeable to the members

 

of the Legislature.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the

 

governor and council, be authorised and required to draw

 

upon the treasurer of the western shore, for the amount of

 

postage chargeable against each and every member of the

 

legislature, during his attendance on the same.

 

No. 104.

Passed Mar. 12,1832

Resolution in favour of Charles S. Davis.

 

WHEREAS, it is represented, and appears to this legisla-

 

ture, that the property of Charles S. Davis, of Baltimore

 

county, one of the sureties of Robert H. Scharf, a collector

 

of taxes for the city and county of Baltimore, and State of

 

Maryland, has been seized and sold for the purpose of satis-

 

fying the bonds jointly executed and delivered by the said

Scharf, the said Davis, and other co- sureties; And whereas,

 

it also appears that the said Davis has been obliged, in con-

 

sequence of the suretyship and seizure aforesaid, to apply

 

for and obtain a release from the obligation of his other con-

 

tracts, as an insolvent debtor, but is nevertheless still liable

 

as surety aforesaid — Therefore,

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
said Charles S. Davis, be, and he is hereby released, and
