1831.

No. 60.

 

Resolution in favour of John A. Sangston, of Caroline county.

Passed Mar.9, 1832

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the

 

treasurer of the eastern shore, pay to John A. Sangston, or

 

order, the sum of twenty-nine dollars and fifty cents, being

 

the amount of caution and composition money paid by the

 

said John A. Sangston, into the treasury of the eastern shore

 

aforesaid.

 

No. 61.

 

Resolution in favour of Thomas Perry, Sheriff of Charles

Passed Mar.9, 1832

County.

 

Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore, allow

 

Thomas Perry, sheriff of Charles county, the sum of twenty-

 

seven dollars and seventy-five cents, in his settlement for

 

fines and forfeitures, placed in his hands for collection, by

 

the clerk of said county.

 

No. 62.

 

Resolution in favour of Mary and Lloyd Stallings.

Passed Mar.9 .1832

WHEREAS, by the petition of Nancy Stallings and Lloyd

 

Stallings, as administratrix and administrator of the estate

 

of Thomas Stallings, late of Allegany county, deceased, it

 

is set forth, so long ago as the year 1812, a certain Thomas

 

Pollard was elected sheriff of the county aforesaid; and for

 

the faithful performance of the duties of said office, Thomas

 

Stallings, deceased, with others, became security for the

 

first year of his sheriffalty; and it appears there was due lo

 

the State of Maryland, on that year, or at the expiration

 

thereof, a balance of six hundred and twenty-eight dollars

 

and fifty cents, up to 1st November, 1813; and it also ap-

 

pears that suit for the recovery of the same was instituted,

 

in Allegany county court, upon which judgment has been
obtained; and if the payment of the same, with all the inter-

 

est thereon, should be collected, it will luin the whole fam-

 

ily of the deceased; and it is represented and appears from

 

present circumstances, exhibited to the legislature, that
