RESOLUTIONS.

 

ty, a number of pistols not exceeding fifty, with appropriate

 

accoutrements which the said armorer may select, on his

 

giving such security for the safe keeping and return of the

 

same as the governor and council may require.

Resolution relative to the exchange of the Laws and Reports

 

with the several states and territories of the Union.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

 

his excellency, the governor, be requested to forward to the

 

executive of eachof the several states and territories of the

 

Union, the resolutions of this general assembly proposing

 

exchanges of the laws and reports of their respective states

 

and territories.

 

No. 53.

Passed Mar.6, 1832

 
 

Resolution authorising the Librarian to dispose of the sur-

 

plus books, remaining in the State Library.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

 

the State Librarian, be, and he is hereby authorised under

 

the direction of the joint committee on the State Library,

 

to exchange or otherwise dispose of all the surplus books

 

except the reports of decisions by Harris and Gill, and by

 

Gill and Johnson, and the copies of McMahon's history of

 

Maryland, belonging to the state, reserving twenty-five co-

 

pies of all the laws, reports and documents, which, under

 

this resolution may be exchanged or otherwise disposed of;

 

which are to be retained for the use of the legislative, ex-

 

ecutive and judicial departments of the government, and the

 

proceeds of the same, the joint committee is authorised and

 

directed, to lay out in the purchase of law books and other

 

works for the use of the said library.
