No. 44.

 

Resolution in favor of Mary Easom, the widow of a Rev-

Passed Feb. 23,1832

olutionary Soldier.

 

Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore, pay

 

to Mary Easom, of Dorchester county, widow of Evans

 

Willin, a revolutionary soldier, or to her order, during her

 

widowhood, in half yearly payments, a sum of money equal

 

to the half pay of a private, in consideration of the servi-

 

ces rendered by her husband during said war.

Resolution relative to removing certain obstructions in the

Passed Feb.24,1832

head waters of Chester river.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That

 

the treasurer of the western shore, pay or cause to be paid

 

to the order of the governor, from time to time, in such

 

sums of money as may be drawn for, the sum of fifteen

 

hundred dollars, the same to be applied to the removal of

 

the impediments in Chester river, from Sutton's Point to the

 

town of Millington, under the direction of the commission-

 

ers heretofore appointed by a resolution, number seventy-

 

two, of December session eighteen hundred and twenty-

 

nine, and the said commissioners shall not draw for any part

 

or parcel of the sum hereby .appropriated, until they, or a

 

majority of them, shall certify to the governor, that they

 

have contracted for the removal of the impediments afore-

 

said, and have taken bond, with security, by them approv-

 

ed, in a penalty of double the amount hereby appropriated,

 

to secure the performance of the same, and that the com-

 

missioners aforesaid, shall report to the next General As-

 

sembly of Maryland, an estimate of the whole expenditure

 

thereof.
