RESOLUTIONS.

 

dred dollars, in satisfaction of his claim for preparing an

 

index to the laws and resolutions of this state, from the

 

year eighteen hundred and twenty-six, to eighteen hundred

 

and twenty -nine, inclusively.

 

Resolved, That the governor and council be, and they

 

are hereby authorised td contract for the making of an in-

 

dex to the laws and resolutions of the last and current ses-

 

sion of the legislature, for such compensation as to the

 

governor and council may seem proper.
Resolved, That the governor be, and is hereby authoris-

 

ed to draw on the treasurer of the western shore, in favour

 

Of such person or persons as the governor and council may

 

contract with, for printing an index to the laws, which has

 

been made by Gideon Pearce, and also for the cost of pre-

 

paring and printing an index to the laws and resolutions of

 

the last and current session of the legislature, whenever

 

the work shall have been completed and delivered into the

 

library.

Passed Feb. 2, 1832

Resolution in favour of Thomas Muir, a Revolutionary

 

Soldier.

 

Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore, pay

 

to Thomas Muir, a soldier of the revolutionary war, or to

 

his order, during life, in half yearly payments, a sum of

 

money equal to the half pay of a private, as a further re-

 

muneration for his services during said war.

Passed Feb.2, 1832

Resolution in favour of Thomas Ashcom, Sheriff of Queen

 

Ann's county.

 

Resolved, That the treasurer of the western shore, pay

 

to Thomas Ashcom, sheriff of Queen Ann's county, or or-

 

der, the sum of twenty-five dollars and twenty-five cents,

 

it being the amount erroneously paid by him into the trea-

 

sury, under an act of assembly, of December session,

 

eighteen hundred and twenty-seven, chapter one hundred

 

and seventeen.
