RESOLUTIONS.

 

No. 13.

Passed Jan. 23, 1832

Resolution requiring the Treasurer of the Western Shore,
to pay and redeem the five per cent loan.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
treasurer of the western shore he, and he hereby is, direct-
ed and required forthwith to pay and redeem the five per
sent loan, of twenty thousand dollars, created in virtue of
the act of December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-
six, chapter two hundred and eleven, out of any money in
the treasury.

 

No. 14.

Passed Jan. 27, 1832

Resolution in favour of John Evans.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
warden of Baltimore county jail, be, and he is hereby au-
thorised and required to discharge from imprisonment, John
Erans, charged with being the father of an illegitimate
child; Provided, he be not in custody for any other offence,
nor under any civil process; And provided, That nothing
herein contained shall prevent the arrest and imprisoning at
any time or times hereafter, of said Evans, under the special
order and at the discretion of the Baltimore county court,
in such behalf,to enforce from him recognizance, with surety
for the support of the said illegitimate child, according to
the acts of assembly, in such cases of illegitimate children,
made and provided.

Passed Jan. 30,1832

Resolution in favour of Josiah Bayly, Esquire.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
treasurer of the eastern shore, be, and he hereby is author-
ised and directed to pay to Josiah Bayly, Esquire, or to his
order, the sum of three hundred and fifteen dollars and fifty
nine cents, being for commissions of five per centum on long
standing debts due to the State, amounting to six thousand
three hundred and eleven dollars and seventy-six cents, col-
lected by the said Josiah Bayly, and paid into the treasury
of the eastern shore, in the month of December last.
