forever, thereafter, be distinguished and known as the four-
teenth election district of said county.

CHAPTER 113.

 

An act supplementary to an act, entitled An act for the relief
of John Childs, of Anne Arundel County, passed at De-
cember session, eighteen hundred and thirty, chapter one
hundred and seventy-two.

Passed Feb. 17, 1832

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That John Childs, of Anne Arundel county, be,
and he is hereby entitled to the full benefit of the act, to
which this is a supplement, upon his complying with all the
other provisions of said act, except that which requires him
to accompany his petition with satisfactory proof, that he
purchased the real estate therein mentioned, of his sister
Cassandra Childs, before her intermarriage with a certain
Somerset Brown, of Calvert county.

An act to exempt a part of Holland street, in the city of Bal-
timore, from the operation of the sixteenth section of the
act of eighteen hundred and seventeen, chapter one hun-
dred and forty eight, entitled An act relating to the city oj
Baltimore.

Passed Feb. 17, 1832

Section 1. Be it enacted by he General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That all that part of Holland street, which lays be-
tween the north west side of Pitt street, and the south east
side of Union Alley, be, and is hereby declared to be free
and exempt from the operation of the sixteenth section of
the act of eighteen hundred and seventeen, chapter one
hundred and forty-eight, entitled An act relating to the city

ed.

of Baltimore; Provided however, That this section of this
law, shall have no legal force or effect unless the same be
ratified and confirmed by an ordinance of the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore, passed during its present or
next annual session.

Proviso.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, during its present or next annual ses-
