shall report annually to the commissioners the general state
of the town, with an accurate account of the money
received and expended, to be published in four of
the most public places in the town, for the information of

the citizens. The burgess and the commissioners and all
other officers of the corporation hereafter, before they enter
upon the duties of their respective offices, shall severally
take the following oath or affirmation, "I do solemnly swear
(or affirm, as the case may be) that I will faithfully execute
the office of ———— to the best of my knowledge and
ability, without favor, affection or partiality."

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That all such parts of the act,
to which this is a supplement, that are inconsistent or re-
pugnant to the provisions of this act shall be and the same
are hereby repealed.

Repealing clause.

CHAPTER 108.

 

An additional supplement to the act entitled, An act to pro-
vide for the repairs of Public Roads in Montgomery coun-
ty, passed December session eighteen hundred and twenty-
six, chapter two hundred and twenty-seven.

Passed Feb.l7, 1832

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the supervisors of public roads for Mont-
gomery county, be, and they are hereby authorised and
required, to commence annually, in the month of May, as
provided for in the third section of the act to which this
is an additional supplement, to repair the several roads al-
lotted to said supervisors, by the levy court of said county,
in the manner therein prescribed, and that the said super-
visors shall continue to work thereon every day, success-
ively, (Sundays excepted,) without interruption, until the
repair of said road be completed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That if the said supervisors,
or any one of them, shall fail to execute and complete the
repairs of said road as directed, unless prevented by just
and sufficient cause, to be determined by the said levy
court, then and in that case, it shall be the duty of the levy
court, to present the fact to the grand jury of said county,
whose duty it shall be, to proceed as directed in the
seventh section of the original act, to which this is an ad-
ditional supplement.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all and every part or
parts of the original act and the supplement thereto, not
