Creditors, surety or sureties, made by any person or per-
sons, with a view, intention, or under an expectation of
being or becoming an insolvent debtor, shall be, and the
same is hereby declared to be, an undue and improper pre-
ference to such creditor or creditors, surety or sureties, and
null and void, within the true intent and meaning of the
act to which this is an additional supplement.

A Supplement to the act, entitled, An act to incorporate
the Powhatan Manufacturing Company of Mary-
land,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a meeting of the stockholders of the
Powhatan Manufacturing Company of Maryland shall be
held on the first Monday of February of every year, or
within twenty days thereafter, for the purpose of choosing
live directors to manage the concerns of said company,
which directors shall be elected by the stockholders voting
by ballot, in person or by proxy, and each share of stock
shall entitle the holder thereof to one vote.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the fourth section of
the act to which this is a supplement, be and the same is
hereby repealed; Provided nevertheless, that nothing here-
in contained shall have any legal force or effect until this
supplement shall have been accepted by the stockholders
ef said company in general meeting assembled.
