Henry Wayman, of Anne-Arundel county, be and he is
hereby forever released and exonerated from all liability to
the state as surety to Thomas H. Bowie, late register to the
court of chancery, and that the treasurer of the western
shore be and he is hereby directed, to pay to Henry Way-
man the legal costs expended by him in defending the a-
foresaid suit

A Resolution in favour of Mary Benson, Widow of the late
General Perry Benson.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the treasurer oi the western shore pay to Mary Benson,
widow of General Perry Benson, or order, during her
widowhood, in quarter-yearly payments, a sum of money
equal to the half pay of a captain, in consideration for
the services of her late husband during the revolutionary
war.

A Resolution in favour of James Maxwell, of Washington
County,
Resolvedly the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the treasurer of the western shore be, and he is hereby au-
thorised and required, to pay to David Brookhart, Esquire,
for the use of James Maxwell, of Hagerstown, five dollars,
as a compensation for furnishing, under orders of the house
of delegates, his newspaper to certain members of the ge-
neral assembly, in the session of eighteen hundred and
twenty-eight, eighteen hundred and twenty-nine, and eigh-
teen hundred and thirty.
