CHAP 171.

CHAPTER 170.
An Act to direct the Treasurer of the Western Shore
to pay over to the Judges of the Orphans Court of
Caroline County the Donation now given to the Hills-
borough and Denton Academies, for the purposes
therein mentioned.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the treasurer of the western shore be and he is here-
by directed, to pay over to the judges of the orphans court
of Caroline county, or their order, on the first Monday of
October next, and annually thereafter, the donation of five
hundred dollars now given to the Hillsborough and Den-
ton academies, and the judges of the orphans court of Caro-
line county, are hereby authorised and required, to pay
over to the trustees of the several schools now established
in said county, their proportionable part of said donation,
and that any act or acts heretofore passed repugnant to this
act, be and the same are hereby repealed.

 
 

CHAPTER 171.

An Act to provide for enforcing the Collection of Pe-
nalties incurred under existing Resolutions of this
State.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all penalties incurred by any civil officer under any
existing resolution of this state, shall hereafter be recovera-
ble in the court of the county in which the defaulting offi-
cer may reside, by suit on the official bond of said officer;
and that it shall be the duty of the attorney general, or the
attorney acting for the state in the proper county, upon of-
ficial notice of any such default, to prosecute for the reco-
very of the same.
