CHAPTER 133.
An Act to Divorce Henry Davis and Caroline M. Davis,
of the City of Baltimore.

Divorce grant-
ed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the marriage of Henry Davis, and Caroline M. Da-
vis, of the city of Baltimore, heretofore solemnized, be,
and the same is hereby declared to be, absolutely, and to
all intents and purposes, null and void; and the said Henry
Davis and Caroline M. Davis, are declared to be divorced

Proviso

a vinculo matrimonii; Provided nevertheless, that no-
thing in this act contained shall operate or he construed to
render the issue of the said Henry Davis, and the said Ca-
roline Matilda Davis, lawfully begotten, and born during
their coverture aforesaid, illegitimate.

 
 

CHAPTER 131.

Passed Feb 21.

An Act to incorporate certain Persons therein mentioned
for the purpose of establishing a School called The
Liberty Grove School, in Cecil County.

Trustees in-
corporated.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That John Svvisher, Roger Kirk, William
Rowland, John S. Gerry, and Abraham Bell, trustees for
a school erected in Cecil county called The Liberty Grove
School of Cecil county, and their successors to be appoint-
ed as hereinafter directed, shall for one year from and after
the first day of May next, he and they are hereby created,
established and declared to be, one body politic and corpo-
rate, with perpetual succession in law, by the name, style
and title, of The Trustees of the Liberty Grove School of
Cecil county, by which name and style the said trustees,
and their successors, shall be capable in law and in equity
to hold property the value of which shall at no time ex-
ceed the sum of five hundred dollars.

Meeting of pa-
trons.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the trustees for the
time being shall call a meeting of the patrons of said
school on the first Monday of May in the year eighteen
hundred and thirty-two, and on the same day in each and
every succeeding year, for the purpose of electing five
trustees for the management of said school for one year
from the day of said election.
