CHAP. 116.

-and that any act or resolution which might be construed to
authorise any such demand, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed or rescinded.

His duty.
Resignations
to be made
through him.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of
the adjutant- general to report annually to the executive of
this state, on the first Mondav in January, the strength of
the militia, designating all such commanding officers of
corps, extra battalions or companies, as have disobeyed his
orders to make out their muster rolls.
Sec 3 And be it enacted, That all resignations of com-
missions be made through the adjutant-general of this state.

 
 

CHAPTER 115.

Passed Feb 18.

An Act for the relief of Caleb Stuart and Richard
Mace, of Anne-Arundel County.

Levy authoris-
ed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners for Anne-Arundel county be and
they are hereby authorised and directed, to levy upon the
assessable property of said county the sum of one hundred
dollars for the benefit of Caleb Stuart and Richard Mace,
of said county, and the collector of said county is hereby-
authorised and directed to collect and pay over to the said
Caleb Stuart and Richard Mace, or their order respective-
ly, the sum of fifty dollars each, any law to the contrary
notwithstanding.

 
 

CHAPTER 116.

An Act to keep in repair the Causeway near the Town
of Salisbury, in Somerset County.

Levy authoris-
ed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the justices of the levy court of Somerset county be
and the same are hereby authorised and directed, to levy
during the present year, and annually thereafter, such sum
or sums of money as may in their judgment be necessary
to keep in repair the Causeway near the town of Salisbury,
