"Provided, that the compensation of no employee shall
exceed the sum of twelve hundred dollars per annum."

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 32 of Ar-
ticle LXI. of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Licen-
ses," sub-title "Foreign Corporations and Companies," and
to re-enact the same with amendments.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered the following House bills:

The House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money for the support and maintenance of the Maryland
Inebriate Asylum.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

The House bill entitled an Act authorizing the County
Commissioners of Baltimore county, to invest a certain amount
of the money belonging to said county.

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Davis, Stevens and Fields.

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 41, 42 and
43 of Article XCIII. of the Code of Public General Laws,
title ''Testamentary Laws," sub-title "Administration by an
Executor," and to re-enact section 41 with amendments.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Mr. Lloyd, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
The House bill entitled an Act authorizing the sale of the

Parsonage of the Methodist Episcopal Church, in Easton,

Talbot county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance reported favor-
