Mudd, Walsh—12.

Mr. Davis moved to substitute the Senate bill entitled an
Act to provide for the general valuation and assessment of
all property in this State, for the pending bill.

Which was rejected by yeas and nays as follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Blake, Fields,
Brewer, Knight,
Claggett, Lloyd,
Davis, Spencer—9.
Earle,

NEGATIVE.

Messrs. President, Mudd,

Aydelott, McCulloh,
Billingsley, Williams,
Denson, Walsh—9.
Longwell,

Mr. Fields gave notice that he would move to reconsider
the vote by which the amendment of Mr. Davis failed to be
adopted.

Mr. Williams submitted the following amendment:

Strike out all after the word "taxation" in line 17, to
the words "all cash," in line 20.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Earle submitted the following amendment:

Strike out all after the word "State" to the word "all"
and insert in lieu thereof, "Private burying grounds and lots
already occupied by the dead, in public burying grounds."

Which was rejected by yeas and nays as follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.
