EVENING SESSION.
WEDNESDAY EVENING, April 1st, 1874.

The Senate met at 8 o'clock, P. M.
Present at roll call the following Senators :

Messrs. President, Aydelott, Blake, Brewer, Billingsley,
Crawford, Claggett, Davis, Denson, Earle, Fields, Getty,
Knight, Mudd, McCulloh, Phelps, Stevens, Steiner, Spencer,
Tuck, Williams, Walsh—22.

Mr. Mudd, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
The House bill relating to Fences, in Charles county.
Which was read the second time.

The consent of the Senate was given by yeas and nays as
follows :

To Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to report a bill entitled au Act to provide for the appointment
of counsel to represent the State in the matter of the arbitra-
tion proposed to be had on the Boundary Line between Mary-
land and Virginia, and to appropriate a sum of money to pay
the expenses of such arbitration.

Mr. Fields moved to postpone the consideration of the order
of the day, being

The House bill entitled an Act providing for the extension
of the limits of Baltimore city,

Until 12 1/2 o'clock to-morrow, the 2d instant.
