Which was adopted.

Also, the following amendment:

Section 141, after the word "Office," in line 3, strike out
"all to the end of the section," and "add the same to the
end of section 42."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Fields submitted the following amendment:

Section 21, line 7, strike out "ten," and insert "twelve."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the third time, and
rejected for want of a constitutional majority, by yeas and
nays as follows :

Mr. Fields moved to reconsider the vote by which the bill
failed to pass.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Tuck moved to make said bill the order of the day for
to-morrow the 2nd inst., at 12 o'clock.

Which was adopted.

OFFFICE OK THE SECRETARY OF THE SENATE,

Annapolis. April 1st, 1874.

The following Acts of Assembly were this day presented to
His Excellency, the Governor, for his approval:

No. 29, an Act to repeal section 22 of an Act passed
January Session, 1872, chapter 12, entitled "Fish and Fish-
eries," sub-title "Patuxent."

No. 200, an Act to establish a State Board of Health.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

At 6.15 o'clock, P. M., the Senate adjourned.
