Vaults, in the Court House, at Easton.

The Senate at 3 o'clock, P. M., adjourned.

AFTERNOON SESSION.
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, April 1st, 1874.

The Senate met at 4:30 o'clock, P. M.,
Present at roll call the following Senators :

Messrs. President, Blake, Fields, Longwell, Phelps, Stei-
ner, Tuck—7.

No quorum being present,

The President directed the Sergeant-at-Arms to inform
absent Senators that their presence was required.

At 5.10 P. M., a quorum being present,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of the order of
the day, being

The House bill relating to "Revenue and Taxes."
Mr. Tuck submitted the following amendment:
Strike out the "113th and 114th sections."
Which was rejected.

Mr. Fields submitted the following amendment:

Section 113, line 10, after the word "of," strikeout "one,"
and insert "two."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Brewer submitted the following amendment :

Section 114, line 3, strikeout "one," and insert "two."
