The amendment as amended, was then adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1, 3 and
5 of chapter 402 of the Acts of 1867, entitled an Act to en-
large and confirm the powers and authority of St. Mary's
Industrial School for Boys, of the city of Baltimore, and re-
enact the same with amendments, and to add an additional
section thereto,

Was considered and laid over.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee, to which had been recom-
mitted

The House bill entitled an Act relating to Revenue and
Taxes,

Reported said bill.

On motion by Mr. Walsh, it was

Ordered, That the Senate hold a Session this evening from
half-past four until half-past six o'clock, to consider said bill,
in Committee of the Whole.

Also reported favorably on

The House bill entitled an Act to pay to Luther A. Mar-
tin, late Sheriff of Charles county, the sum of eighty-two
dollars and thirty cents, erroneously paid into the Treasury.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which hud
been referred

The Senate bill entitled an Act to establish and regulate
the Maryland Insane Asylum.

Reported said bill, with the request that the Committee on
Finance be discharged from further consideration thereof.

On motion by Mr. Blake,

The Committee on Finance were discharged from the fur-
ther consideration thereof.

Mr. Davis moved to proceed to the consideration of said
bill.

Mr. Stevens moved to postpone the said bill until one
o'clock, on Thursday next.

Which was adopted by yeas and nays as follows :
