Mr. Aydelott moved to reconsider the vote by which the
bill failed to be substituted for the unfavorable report.

Mr. Fields moved to lay the motion to reconsider, on the
table.

Which was adopted.

At 2:20 P. M., the Senate adjourned.

MONDAY, March 30th, 1874.

The Senate met at 11 o'clock, A. M.

Prayer by Rev. Mr. Hedges.

Present at roll call the following Senators:

Messrs. President, Aydelott, Blake, Brewer, Brattan,
Crawford, Davis, Denson, Earle, Fields, Getty, Longwell,
Lloyd, McCulloh, Phelps, Stevens, Steiner, Suit, Tuck, Wil-
liams, Walsh—2].

The proceedings of Saturday were read and approved.

Mr. Blake presented the petition of Thomas Kelso, and
two hundred and forty-one others, citizens of Baltimore, for
Local Option and Damage Laws.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Tem-
perance.

Mr. Brewer presented the petition of two hundred and
forty-five ladies of Baltimore city, in favor of Local Option
and Damage Laws.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Tem-
perance.
