794 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 28,

money to enable the Faculty of Physic of the University of
Maryland, to build a Hospital,

Being on its second reading,
On motion by Mr. Fields,

Said bill was made the order of the day for Monday, the
30th, at 12 o'clock.

Mr. Fields presented Joint Resolution relating to employ-
ing counsel, in the case of the State vs. the Northern Central
Rail Road Company.

Which was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The House bill entitled an Act to make valid the marriage
between Joseph Owens and Eva Shepherd,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.
Messrs. President, Lloyd,

Aydelott, McCulloh,
Brewer, Phelps,
Brattan, Steincr.
Claggett. Suit,
Earle, Tuck,
Knight, Williams.
Longwell, Walsh--16.
NEGATIVE—None.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Walsh presented Senate Joint Resolutions, relating to
Fenian Prisoners, confined in foreign prisons.

Which were read the third time and passed by yeas and
nays as follows:
