Which was read the first time.

Mr. McCulloh, from the Committee on Pensions, reported
favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of William
D. Claggett, a Commissioned Officer in the war of 1812.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Carroll, from the Committee on Agriculture, reported
favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Article LXXXVII.
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Sheep," and
enact the following in lieu thereof.

Which was read the first time.

The President announced the order of the day being,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to secure a survey to ascertain
the best route for a Ship Canal, to connect the waters of the
Chesapeake and Delaware Bays,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Tuck,

The vote by which the bill ordered to be engrossed, was
reconsidered,

The question again recurring upon the engrossment of the
bill,

It was determined in the affirmative by yeas and nays as
follows :
