Mr. Steiner moved to reconsider the vote by which the
House bill relating to the vendors of liquor in Hansonville,
Frederick county, failed to pass for want of a constitutional
majority.

Which was adopted.

On motion by Mr. Aydelott, it was

Ordered, That the Hon. John R. Blake, is detained from
his seat in the Senate from indisposition.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to pay to Thomas Dent,
Justice of the Peace for St. Mary's county, and also James
H. Saunders, a Constable of said county, for services render-
ed to Captain Timmons, in the execution of the Oyster laws
of this State,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Mr. Lloyd, from the Committee on the Chesapeake Bay and
its Tributaries, reported unfavorably on

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act to repeal
section 4 of Article XLI. of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Fish and Fisheries," sub-title "Head of the
bay," and to re-enact section 4 of Article XLI. of the Code
of Public General Laws.

Mr. Spencer moved to substitute the bill for the unfaora-
ble report.

Which was rejected.

The unfavorable report was then adopted.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported un-
favorably on

The House bill entitled an Act to compensate Josiah Stock
and William H. Burrows, of Talbot county, for services in
the arrest of Levin Palmer, an escaped prisoner.

And the report was adopted.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported
favorably on

The House bill entitled an Act for the relief of Biscoe
Adams, of St. Mary's county.

Which was read the second time.
Also,

The House bill entitled an Act for the relief of Washing-
ton College, and to appropriate money for the same, and to
provide for the education of one scholar from each county of
the Eastern Shore.
